Kings Heath Forum Networking Day 10-2pm 7th October at All Saints Centre.
The purpose of the day is to give local residents the chance to meet a variety of organisations that provide advice, help and support, whether that’s a social activity that also benefits the community as a whole or advice specific to an individual.

Chair of Brandwood Forum , Karen Osborne  will be there so come and say hello!

We’re moving towards greater self-sufficiency as Kings Heath Ring of Friends (.com – see website). Therefore please note: IT Club Tuesdays 11am-5pm (bring laptop and dongle if you have them – if not, come and get advice – free to attend, free cuppa + bix); Positive Minds – a friendly group of people who ‘meet to cheer each other up’: alternate Thursdays 1-3pm, programme available for sessions until end of Sept 2013: next mtg 23 May SPECIAL FREE ART WORKSHOP WITH PUBLIC ARTIST MARK STAMMS!; Skittles Club every Saturday from 7pm till late – bring drink/snack (free to play)

Over 50s activities at Grove Road Social Centre

Activities at Grove Road Social Centre (behind Brandwood House, Grove Rd, Kings Heath B14 6SW by the Red Lion) which is on the Brandwood & Cocksmoor sheltered housing scheme for the over-50s. Many of our events include under-50s (family, friends, people living nearby – check if you see something you like – and most are free of charge):
IT Club – Tues 11am-1pm
Tai Chi – Tues 6-7pm
Positive Minds well-being group – alternate Thursdays 1-3pm (next date Thurs 14 March
Skittles Club – Sat 7.30pm onwards
Fun with a Pen (Writers’ Group) – monthly, next one Sat 9 March 12-4pm
Occasional parties and trips – pop in and look on our noticeboard:

This class is free!! If you believe that a positive attitude in life helps but sometimes struggle to be positive ? You might be feeling  isolated, anxious or depressed…well this could be the group for you! Just bring a drink and a snack – and improve your well being amongst friends with reading, relaxation music and time to talk.

Every second Thursday 1-3pm Grove Road Social Club Lounge B14  in between Brandwood House and Cocksmore House( next to Red Lion)

This class is free !! Ever wondered how to make bread?  We meet to make loaves and bread using simple, wholesome ingredients,and share a cup of tea/coffee and a slice of bread and jam or some

Come and meet Selly Oak Constituency Inspector Simon Ingliss

Come and meet the new Selly Oak Constituency Police Inspector Simon Ingliss at Brandwood Forum meeting 6th December at the Grove Road Social Club The Inspector will be talking about his role and will answer any questions which residents raise.

This meeting will also include a debate about road safety issues in the Ward with two presentations from local residents . Selly Oak Constituency Engineer Sajid Khan will be coming to talk about his role and answer residents questions.
