Winter Conservation Volunteers days in B14

Winter Conservation Work days 2017-2018.

The Ranger service relies on volunteer help to manage sites for wildlife conservation. Covering a variety of habitats at different locations, activities and tasks vary. Helping the Rangers and Friends groups, volunteers do what they can to help. Tools and gloves are provided.

There are a number of Friends groups attached to the different parks and they work alongside the Rangers to care for our Green open spaces.

Dress for outdoor work and bring a snack to munch.

Starting at 10am, sessions are usually 2-3 hours.

Winter tasks include: coppicing, thinning out trees, tree planting, wet land management, litter picking and monitoring wildlife.

Below is a list of sites and where to meet and workdays.
