Post from Jane Edwards, secretary of Friends of Brandwood End Cemetary
Diamond Woodland Event
We hope to be joined on site by Penny Smith, a representative of Birmingham City Council who will cut the ribbon to open this site for future use as a much needed ashes burial area within Brandwood End Cemetery.
Bereavements Department would like to invite you to join the Friends of Brandwood End Cemetery and the children of St Albans Junior and Infants school as we work together to plant 24 trees to create a ‘Diamond Woodland Ashes Burial Area’
This event will take place at 10.30 am on Wednesday 14th November in the area on the immediate left of the main drive.
Please try and support this project which involves BCC staff, local school children and The Friends. Don’t worry if you can’t wield a spade- you will still be welcome to encourage the pupils from the side lines.
Please pass this message to anyone you think may be interested. Should you have any queries please don’t hesitate to contact me on Jane Edwards 07811 393259.
